UX/UI Design Project.
Establishing a graphic identity and a whole website for an imaginary company connecting Bordeaux to Fort-de-France (in Martinique). This company is doing eco-friendly maritime trade.

In collaboration with Claire Bergès, Inès Berrocoso and Elian Bonnet.

Artistic Direction

"Beaufort" is a french word for a wind unit of measurement. It also sounds like a contraction between "Bordeaux" and "Fort-de-France", the two cities liked by this trade.

"Marché" is french for "market", and we chose to use that to represent the humain aspect of the project.

Graphic Design

"Mobile first" website

The boat only uses the wind strength to work, so it has a very low CO2 impact. We had to communicate this eco-friendly side, as well as the fact that any orders would make three weeks minimum to reach its destination (travelling time between Bordeaux and Fort-de-France). So, we had to find ways to solve this issues in order to offer the best user experience we could.

Localisation
This website needs to take into account where the user actually is.
Is he living in Bordeaux, or Fort-de-France ? This information is essential to calculate the overall costs, to know where to pick up the delivery (the user can also buy local products and go get them on the arrival day thanks to our market system). It is also an important technical information involved in filling the ship's hold.

The lots
This website also needs to be adaptative to all user's needs.
Do they want to buy only one bottle of whisky, or a whole case ? Do they need to order something different every month, or do they want to get a monthly subscription ?
